Shift Replacement

Use Shift Replacement to exchange a shift with another employee. Start a request from a shift in My Roster, or open Shift Replacement from the Home quick actions to review requests sent to you.

Request a shift replacement (no manager approval)

If your employer does not require manager approval for swaps:

  1. Open the shift from My Roster.
  2. Select the shift replacement option. My Roster screen
  3. Review your shift summary.
  4. Search for available employees. My Roster screen
  5. Select one or more employees.
  6. Tap Send Request.
  7. Add request details if needed. My Roster screen
  8. Tap Send.

Request a shift replacement (manager approval required)

If your employer requires manager approval for swaps:

  1. Open the shift from My Roster.
  2. Select the shift replacement option.
  3. Review your shift summary.
  4. Edit the default message if needed.
  5. Send the shift replacement request.
  6. Your manager receives the request.
  7. Your manager selects an employee to work the shift and taps Send Request.
  8. The selected employee receives your request and can approve or decline it.
  9. If approved, the shift is reassigned to the new employee.
  10. If declined, you keep the shift.
  11. You and your manager receive a status notification (approved or declined).

Respond to a replacement request sent to you

If another employee sends you a swap request:

  1. Open Shift Replacement from the quick action. My Roster screen

  2. Tap the Available tab.

  3. This displays all available shift replacement requests sent to you. My Roster screen

  4. Tap any shift to expand the request card.

  5. Review the date, time, role, location, and notes.

  6. Tap Accept or Decline.

Track requests you have sent

To view the status of shift replacement requests you sent:

  1. Open Shift Replacement from Home.
  2. Tap the Request tab. My Roster screen
  3. This displays all shift replacement requests you sent.
  4. Tap any shift to expand the request card.
  5. Review the status: Pending, In Progress, Rejected, or Accepted.
  6. You can Cancel or Resend a shift.
