Manual Input

Manual Input lets staff submit clock-in and clock-out times without GPS capture.

When Mobile App Clocking is enabled, Manual Input is on by default.

When Manual Input is used

  • A staff member forgot to clock in or clock out.
  • Mobile data or Wi-Fi was unavailable.
  • GPS location services were unreliable.

Staff: submit a manual clock time

  1. Open the Wageloch Mobile App.
  2. Tap Manual Input.
  3. In Type, select Clock In or Clock Out.
  4. Enter the correct date and time.
  5. If prompted, select Allowance, Department, and Role.
  6. Enter your location at the time of clocking (for example, office car park or job site).
  7. Add notes if your employer requires them.
  8. Tap Send.

How Manual Input appears in timesheets

You can identify Manual Input entries by the status icon in timesheets.

For more timesheet detail, see Completing Timesheets.

Outlined red or green circle with manual label

If you see an outlined red or green circle with a hover label similar to manual:, the clock time was entered through Manual Input.

If you open the map from that icon, it may show coordinates 0,0 because GPS was not captured for that entry.

Outlined red or green circle with proximity alert

If Proximity Alerts are enabled, an outlined icon can indicate the staff member clocked outside the configured radius.

Hover text usually shows: Clock time for this staff member is outside the radius by ___ meters.

Opening the map shows the location recorded at clock time.

Outlined red or green circle with server time alert

If hover text says Server indicates actual clock time was __ minutes earlier/later than the recorded time, this usually points to one of the scenarios below.

Delayed upload from offline device

  • At clock time, the phone had no mobile data or Wi-Fi.
  • The app stored the entry and sent it later when internet became available.

An earlier message often means the entry was valid but uploaded later.

Device date/time changed

If the message says later, the phone date/time may have been changed before clocking.
