Organisation Chart

Use People Directory and Org Chart to keep reporting lines up to date, refresh role details, and export a chart image when needed.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Wageloch and open HR > People.
  • Make sure your active staff list is up to date.
  • If your business uses Departments, make sure they are set correctly before assigning reporting lines.

People Directory

Use People Directory to add people, update profile details, and set reporting relationships.

Import from staff list

  1. Go to HR > People.
  2. Select Add > Import from Staff List.
  3. Select staff to include, or use Select All.
  4. Select Done to import.
  5. Open a person from the list to review details.
  6. Update fields such as position, department, reporting manager, email, or mobile.
  7. Select Done to save.

Capture the People Directory screen with Add > Import from Staff List, staff selection options, and imported directory rows.

TIP

If profile pictures are available on Staff Information, you can use those images in directory profiles.

Add a person who is not on payroll

Use this for owners, directors, or other non-payroll roles that should appear in the reporting structure.

  1. Go to HR > People.
  2. Select Add > Create New.
  3. Complete the chart card details.
  4. Select Done to save.

Org Chart

Use Org Chart to place each person under the correct manager and review the structure visually.

Build reporting lines

  1. Go to HR > People > Org Chart.
  2. Review all people currently shown.
  3. Drag and drop staff cards to the correct manager.
  4. Open a person card to edit details if required.
  5. Select Done after edits.

When repositioning staff cards, place the employee card onto the manager name bar to set the reporting line.

Export the chart

  1. In Org Chart, select Download.
  2. Save the exported image.
  3. Share or store it wherever your team keeps organisational references.

Keep data accurate

  • Review reporting lines regularly, especially after role changes.
  • Update directory records when manager assignments change.
  • Remove or archive old entries to avoid outdated org-chart structures.
